Testing and analysis is a crucial service we provide. For example:
- An Instel low voltage circuit breaker test starts with a complete inspection
of contacts, arc chutes and the overall condition and operation of the breaker.
- All mechanisms are cleaned, lubricated and checked for proper mechanical operation.
- The breaker is then tested electrically to ensure all trip functions are operating
properly.
- Contact resistance and insulation resistance of each phase are checked before
returning the breaker to service.
- The customer can request a Test Report that states the condition of the main
and arching contacts and provides an analysis of whether the breaker’s tripping
characteristics are testing within the manufacturer’s tolerance.
- If your breaker has problem, we often have a loaner until we can fix your equipment.
